Standard on all machines for SPEED CONTROL is a "gate valve" (like the aperture on camera). You can open or close this to BYPASS air from the shop vac (included) before it goes through the shooting tube. This gives you the full range of speed control from almost zero to full speed. The shop vac is operating at full speed all the time.
